There is a steady pace to our days.  Sleepy eyes and breakfast and maybe school and maybe office work.  Laundry and meal planning and dental appointments.  Cuddles and playdates, carpooling and college planning.  Eventually we climb back into bed, and then start it all again the following day.  Some days throw surprises our way – some welcome, others less so.  But we move through our days, supporting and loving our children regardless of the day.  We are steady in our presence for them.

Above, you see four images from our Makings of Motherhood community.  Little peeks into days that might be much like yours. Maybe your children are older, or younger.  But if you look at these images, in at least one of them, we bet you’ll see something reflected back to you.  And this is why we love our Makings of Motherhood community.  You can join us in this space as we post; you can also follow us on Instagram @makingsofmotherhood to be notified of future prompts and published posts.  And we invite you continue tagging your images #steady #makingsofmotherhood through the end of April.  Watch for our May prompt which is coming soon!

Nothing contributes so much to tranquilize the mind as a steady purpose
– a point on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye.

Wishing you mamas some tranquility amidst the chaos, as you maintain your focus on – and your steady love for – the children (little and big) in your life.  Thank you for being here with us.

From us to you, here and now…
